EITI Policy Notes

EITI policy and methodology are guided by the EITI Principles and EITI Criteria, and are outlined in detail in the EITI Source Book and EITI Validation Guide. The EITI Board has also issued a number of clarifications and guidance notes to implementing countries. These are published as EITI Policy Notes.

Policy Note 1 - Provides Guidance on Validation Indicator #4 with regards to the need for ‘agreement with key EITI stakeholders' on the EITI Workplan.

Policy Note 2 [French] - Is a Guidance Note for Implementing Countries on Procuring an EITI Validator.

Policy Note 3 - Deals with Board Decision regarding the 2-year Deadline for Completing Validation.
